I've never understood the hype about side fringes, so I never got one. I have a rather long-ish face, and I've heard that having bangs would shorten the length of my face and make it look a bit rounder. In snipping my fringe, I had to overcome my insecurities that having a shorter, rounder face = chubby = fat face. I know now that it was an irrational insecurity, and I was silly for ever thinking that.
I love my new look!
well short hair is in too thanks to Karlie Kloss' new hairstyle but she's also sporting bangs with it. I used to have bangs my whole high school years and I realized it's making my round face more round and it's much more refreshing without it (but that's just me) though I recently had a trip to a salon too and cut my hair into a bob from a long (below my elbow) hair and I like it :)

For the last 4 years I only wore a fringe. Some people ask me if I ever had a different hair cut xD I personally don't like it anymore, not because it doesn't make the face look good, but it's about the fact that it hides me. Sadly, it's really hard for me to grow it out so I still don't know what to do... -.-''
